What is the eligibility criteria for the PLAB/MLA pathway?
If you want to take the PLAB test, you should have an acceptable overseas primary medical qualification and should have passed your English proficiency requirement. The PLAB exam assesses if your knowledge and skills are on par with doctorsbeginning the second year of their Foundation Programme training in the UK.
How do I register for the PLAB exam?
PLAB registration can be done through the GMC Online account. You can select available dates and pay the exam fees.

What is CREST?
The Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training (CREST) is a certification that confirms a doctor has achieved the necessary foundation competencies to apply for specialty training programs in the UK. This certificate must be signed by a Consultant or equivalent. To qualify for a training program, applicants must demonstrate that they have both met foundation-level competencies and completed the required clinical experience. By completing the CREST form, applicants can confirm they have fulfilled these requirements and apply directly for specialty training.
